Six Sentence Sunday: A Terrible Loss

Here's a small sample of what I've written on the WIP today:

He approached the bed and ran the backs of his fingers gently down Sally's arm. "I lost them both the same day."
I imagined it was hard for him to talk about, but it was a relief to know he finally felt comfortable enough to open up. He must have a lot of pain buried inside. "Your parents?"
"My wife and daughter."

Those few sentences are very powerful and express so very much. Wow.
