The Big Day has Arrived!

A very exciting and kind of nerve-wracking day today because DARKEST KNIGHT has been officially released! Squeeee!

It's a little different this time than it was when KNIGHT'S CURSE first came out. I've been getting lots more attention on this book, perhaps because it's been anticipated? I'm not sure, but it's wonderful to see. I'm seeing a lot of positive response to the sequel of that first book. DARKEST KNIGHT goes deeper into Chalice's story and I think a lot of readers are eager to know what happens next. Yay!

I have a number of appearances coming up. If you live in Central Oregon, you can catch my interview with the lovely Kristi Miller on Good Morning Central Oregon. It's aired 3 times so far today, and will be on again at 4:00 p.m. Pacific Time on channel 11. I'll post the video clip when it's available for those who don't have access to Oregon television.

A list of upcoming blog interviews and articles is here. And today I'm a guest at two great blogs, one of which is offering a giveaway of DARKEST KNIGHT so please enter for your chance to win a signed copy.

DARKEST KNIGHT Updates!

I get butterflies every time I think about DARKEST KNIGHT's debut on Friday, March 23. Wow! I can't believe release day is almost here.

On Wednesday I was interviewed for the Good Morning Central Oregon TV talk show that will air on Friday, March 23, the same day DARKEST KNIGHT will appear on store shelves. The show's host, Kristi Miller, read the book and she gave it a glowing review. She's awesome! I'll post the video clip of the show on my blog as soon as I get it.

Then on Saturday, March 24, I'll be reading and signing books at Barnes & Noble here in Bend at 2:00 p.m. Yay! If you're in the area, please drop in to say hello.

I have lots of blog appearances coming up with some fun interviews and guest articles. Here's the schedule:

DARKEST KNIGHT Contest for a FREE BOOK!

I have sample books I'm just dying to give away! So I'm having a contest this week. Just leave a comment with your contact information if you'd like to enter. The book won't be in stores until March 23, so now's your chance to be among the first to get it.

I'm limiting the contest to the continental U.S. due to the high cost of postage. I may do and ebook contest as well, but it's not easy getting the ebook coupons, so please bare with me. If you can live with a paperbook, I'd love it if you entered.

I'll keep the contest open until next Friday, March 16. Then I'll have one of my cats draw names. They're really good at it, and it's fun to watch. A little catnip always helps with the entertainment factor. :)

I'll be signing books at the Barnes & Noble in Bend, Oregon on Saturday, March 24, at 2:00, so I'd love to have a few Oregonians drop in to fill the chairs.

If you'd like to read a sample, you can check out the first chapter of DARKEST KNIGHT here.

Coming in March 2012... woot!

It's hard to believe that the second book in my Knight's Curse trilogy will be out in less than three months. Wow. I'm not sure when book 3 will be out, but I can tell you it's in progress. As is another book in a totally new series. And a novella unassociated with anything else I've done. And a short story that will appear in an anthology from Double Dragon Publishing sometime in 2012.

Do I write full time now? Pretty much, yeah. But I still do my graphic design as well, mostly 3D art for a computer game. I'd really like to design more book covers (no, I did not design my Luna covers, those are totally Harlequin's awesome creative genius).

The blurb on the back cover:

After the warrior she loves saved her from a murderous Gargoyle, Chalice watched helplessly as Aydin turned into a Gargoyle himself. Now, free from the curse that enslaved her, Chalice pledges to join her sister knights in The Order of the Hatchet—and do whatever it takes to regain Aydin’s humanity…and his love. What she encounters within their hallowed sanctuary is pure intrigue.

Someone—or something—is murdering her sisters in their sleep, provoking fear and suspicion among the order. Meanwhile, Aydin, unable to stay away, starts haunting Chalice’s dreams, urging her onward. Ultimately, Chalice will be faced with an agonizing choice— one that will tear away at her newfound identity and force her to choose between duty and desire….
